It’s been a wonderful three day weekend! We’ve enjoyed some great weather, had some good meals and met some new neighbors. They even have a son the same age as my son! Two more days and school will be out and I can say summer has officially begun.
Of course Saturday morning found hubby and me hitting the garage sale circuit. Initially crafty items weren’t terribly in abundance but we did score two very nice winter jackets and a wind breaker for my son for a total of $8.00.
One of the last sales to which we went was closing up and we were told, “Help yourself to anything you think you could use. Everything is free.” Well even garage sale bargains take on new meanings at those prices!
We ended up with some hanging file folders, printer labels, small notepads, ornaments to be used on wreaths, Easter buckets for gift items, cookie cutters, puzzle pieces, towels and books all to be used for various crafting purposes. When all was said and done, the haul in the photo ended up costing me only $1.50!
