Get In Shape

Here are the cards participants in my “Shape It Up” class made last week.

The vest was perfect for a Father’s day card.  It was embellished with real buttons.

The paw print card could be made with either a puppy dog or a kitty cat.  I colored my images using artist grade pencils and gamsol.

Creative juices were really flowing with the house card.  We had lots of ideas for customizing and further embellishing the house.  Minor modifications to the pattern could allow for additional windows or changing it into a two story house.  A brad would make a great door knob and the window boxes could be pop-dotted for added dimension.  The “flowers” are done with a sprinkling of Flower Soft.  We also came up with lots of ideas for turning this into a wintertime house decorated for Christmas.

This cupcake card ended up looking almost good enough to eat!  Any color cardstock could be used for the icing.  The bottom of the cupcake is tan paper that has been crimped and rubbed with tan ink.  The cherry is a red circle embossed with clear embossing powder.  The chocolate sprinkles were stamped with brown pigment ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Next was a nice mug of tea.  The image is from a retired Stampin Up set called “Roses In Winter”.  An actual tea bag fits into an inside pocket and the card is held closed with a bit of velcro.  This card could also be done for coffee or cocoa drinkers as well by included a single serving coffee  or cocoa packet.

Last but not least was the infamous bikini/thong card!  The front of the card is the top of the bikini, and the back of the card is the bottom.  To add even more whimsy, some participants stamped a small butterfly on the back for a tattoo!
